So about that CUDCrawler dev train 🤣

I released Alpha 6 in June (https://ghostlps.itch.io/cudcrawler/devlog/969468/cudcrawler-a6-has-arrived). Since then I've not really had the wherewithal to dump too much time into gamedev. This is gonna just be a kind of general life update on where I'm at, so it can be skipped if you're just here for gamedev or let's play/streaming stuff!

The last four months or so has seen a lot of relationship stuff going on in my personal life that's been wholly consuming my mental bandwidth. I was in some pretty low places for a while, but I'm crawling out now. Started therapy, on anti-depressants, the whole rigamarole. I'm doing okay, things are looking better, I'm putting myself out there, and enjoying things that I never thought I would!

Soooooo, yeah, hoping to be getting back to gamedev at some point this year. No idea when quite yet, but the desire is there! Thanks for following along with this journey with me <3

CUDCrawler A6 Has Arrived! - Currently Unnamed Dungeon Crawler by GHostLPs

This update adds a shop in Towne, an Auto Combat combat toggle (with per-PC settings available), as well as the beginning parts of the in-game manual called the Game Guide. There's also a small expans...

Trying my damndest to get back on the CUDCrawler dev train. I'm more or less good to release Alpha 6, I think. I'm pretty sure I've taken care of all of the things I wanted to fix. Got the shop added. Got the game guide/manual added. Expanded the first dungeon a bit.

Still... It feels like I should do more. Add some more content for the players to fuss with, or something. The problem is that the mechanics are still simple enough that new content basically just means new enemies with higher numbers, and I don't think that's really meaningful to add at this point.

At the same time, I don't feel like a shop and manual are going to really inspire folks to come back to poke at the game again.

Realistically, I'm over thinking it, just need to release it, and need to stop letting "perfect" be the enemy of good. ^^'

Honestly, my games will not appeal to very many people, and probably never will. I guess that's OK. I just make the games that I need to make. I hope someone enjoys one now and then, but this is all I can do.
