Today's bicycle tour.

A meadowhawk (𝘚𝘺𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘮 sp.) from the WIley Trails:

Eastern carpenter bee (𝘟𝘺𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘰𝘱𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢) enjoying some tufted vetch (𝘝𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘢), from the Wiley Trails:

After the heat dome dissipated & we finally had some rain this morning, the insects are still busy in the garden.

This is a male false blister beetle (Oedemera podagrariae), photographed with my phone rather than my DSLR.

My back procedure went well. Should know in 1-2 wks whether it worked🤞.

Got out yesterday to take a few pics my garden.

Here's a sweat bee (ID app suggests ligated furrow bee) not much bigger than the florets it's exploring.
