It has been a BUSY fortnight!!

My little red Rust-bucket passed the MOT test.

My presentation about moths went quite well, 18 people showed up, and they asked some really good questions, so I almost forgot to be nervous.

I helped put up four bat roosts in a local forest as a stopgap measure until hollow trees become available.

I have been invited back to Kær Vestermark for another year of mothing, and the owner of the forest where we put up bat roosts asked if I would care to go mothing there as well, so that pretty much fills up this season.

In between I still had time to rearrange leaf litter, find critters and smell the flowers. Spring is off to a good start.

Today was a struggle. Experimented some more today and it was total chaos. The forms were just unreadable so in a panic I added some outlines and tried to render it a bit more...and that helped.

Una Porsche spider si è schiantata contro alcune auto in sosta nelle prime ore di domenica 29 marzo, a Milano. A bordo dell’auto c’erano tre ragazzi: il conducente di 21 anni è stato trasportato in codice rosso al Policlinico, ma non risulta in pericolo di vita.
Erano circa le 6.00 della mattina di domenica quando la Porsche Spider, che proveniva da Papiniano, stava percorrendo viale di Porta Vercellina diretto a Piazzale Baracca. Subito prima della curva a destra che porta da Porta Vercellina a via Bandello, all’altezza del civico 11, il conducente 21enne ha perso il controllo dell’auto ed è andato a schiantarsi contro diverse auto ferme in sosta. A bordo dell’auto c’erano anche 2 ragazze di 20 e 19 anni. Sul posto sono intervenute un’automedica, un’autoinfermieristica, tre autolettighe, i vigili del fuoco e gli agenti della Polizia locale. Le due giovani sono state trasportate in codice giallo al Fatebenefratelli, mentre il guidatore 21enne è stato trasportato in codice rosso al Policlinico. Il ragazzo è in gravi condizioni, ma non è in pericolo di vita.

Porsche convertible crashes into four parked cars in Milan: three injured, driver 21-year-old seriously hurt.

A Porsche Spider crashed into several parked cars in the early hours of Sunday, March 29th, in Milan. On board the car were three young men: the 21-year-old driver was transported in code red to the Policlinico, but is not in danger of life.

It was approximately 6:00 AM on Sunday morning when the Porsche Spider, coming from Papiniano, was traveling on Viale di Porta Vercellina towards Piazzale Baracca. Immediately before the right curve leading to Via Bandello, near number 11, the 21-year-old driver lost control of the car and crashed into several parked cars. The car also contained two 20 and 19-year-old women. Paramedics, nurse assistants, three ambulance units, firefighters, and local police officers responded to the scene. The two young women were transported in code yellow to Fatebenefratelli, while the 21-year-old driver was transported in code red to the Policlinico. The young man is in serious condition, but is not in danger of life.
