Whelp, had such a pleasant week away from social media that I decided to take another. The migratory eagle population has ⏬ but I still hope to get some more pics. See ya next week.

I didn't know that Canada geese & mallards ate fish until I witnessed it the 1st time. Shad are too big to swallow so they shred them w/ their bills. They frequently let go of the fish to get a better grip so theft attempts are constant.

The fishin' is good & the perches are plentiful along the Iowa River. Looks like they're mostly pulling shad from the waters below the Iowa River Power Dam.
