I'm pretty against vibe-coded AI slop projects but today I was able to make the todo list app that has been in my head for over a year in just a couple of hours. ToDoBot is an easy to use, terminal based, cross-platform todo list app that optionally syncs to a private GitHub gist (oh and it has a hosted web version too) github.com/andywarburton/ToDoBot/

Just picked up this really nice rechargeable electric screwdriver set from Action for just €11! Absolute bargain with 25 bits! USB-C too! Should be great for keyboards and small electronics projects (and the bits feel about the same size as my ifixit kit too!). I just need to design and print a little charging dock!

Forgot to mention… also fully metal enclosure too!

Excited! After a month in transit my USB-PD Stepper Motor controller from ThingsByJosh has finally arrived all the way from New Zealand! Already have it working with my chonky-boy stepper motor and #esphome so now I will finally be able to get back to the Blind Automation I first started over a year ago (but bailed on because I couldn’t get any decently strong stepper motors working reliably). #thingsbyjosh #homeassistant
Today’s cooking experiment… I made rice cooker pancakes and they came out not totally shit. They taste good, moist and overall good texture. But it’s just cake made with pancake batter. I need to try again with some cream cheese in the mix or something. Not sure the hour wait AFTER making the mix was worth it. #breakfast #food #pancake #pancakes

Back when I was a kid in the 90's I remember playing a game on the school computers where you had to grow a flower by adjusting attributes. It was supper addictive and I dreamt of recreating it for years. Finally got around to vibe-coding it after seeing a recent video by @bleeptrack

Feel free to give it a try: https://andywarburton.github.io/sunflower/

(apologies, it looks like Web 2.0 trash and probably isn't very accessible, if at all)

And here we are again. Standing on a ladder in the freezing fucking cold trying to get this stupid bastard amazon shit box to reconnect to the WiFi because it has randomly decided it doesn’t want to work properly. When this dies I’m replacing it with something wired that runs over POE and works locally. Any suggestions nerds?
Today I treated future me by adding some under work-bench lighting so I can actually see what’s going on under there when I’m looking for goodies. Most of my small bits are now in a parts organiser so this is more mid-term storage for bulky stuff or items I don’t use quite so frequently.
Amsterdam be like…
I don’t know shit about sewing but I was determined to fix the pockets in my fave trousers even though they would only cost €30 to buy new ones. Had I used black thread nobody would ever know but as Laura Kamf says “Every defect gets respect”
Just realised I never shared a pic of the wireless #3dprinted #mechanicalkeyboard I built over the summer. This one has flexible handles, each one hiding an 18650 battery! Still a prototype but my first #zmk powered keeb!
