Any clues as to which is failing here...

ESPHome device is sat getting Bluetooth LE sensor readings from a bunch of Xiaomi thermometers, this works well, mostly, and has for years.

Occasionally, Home Assistant stops getting updated values from the ESP32, resulting in flat lines from each sensor.

The reboot 'switch' in HA will always work when pressed.

Is the ESP32 sending stale data?
Does HA lose connectivity with it?
Can I watchdog the reboot?

#homeassistant users, what's the secret to getting new Matter devices to pair? Because it's a parade of "pairing failed" messages for me across several devices.

I have a ZBT-1 attached to my HA Green, OTBR running, and a bunch of other Matter devices that just appeared in HA that work.

Looking around, there is a bunch of very confusing stuff about IPv6 networking (this kind of nonsense is why HA remains a hobbyist platform) and not one paragraph of "here's the straightforward method to follow" advice, including in the official docs.

Well, I did a bit of an oopsie trying to order sensors for the next step in my #HomeAssistant tinkering 😭

I tried to order a few BME280 sensors and some ESP32 Dev boards so I can get temperature and humidity in the living room, bedroom, office

I think I did ok on the ESP32s but for the BME280 I ordered the teeny tiny sensors by themselves rather than on little boards so I can connect wires 🤦‍♂️

I might try to get one of the ESP32s working with an old AM2302 while I wait for BME280s I can use
