@neonmoon Retoots should be rare and good quality. I agree that spamming the general feed could be an issue. Blacklists maybe.

Admittedly the real test for me will be once I’m at a good weight, staying there. But I am confident I am actually lowering my set point, not starving myself, as I am experiencing none of the common side effects of low-calories weight loss (aka, starvation).

People who are actually starving themselves thin are cold all the time, constantly hungry, have low energy, and sometimes other symptoms like constipation and slower hair and nail growth. I’m not experiencing any of this.

I really mean it that counting calories doesn’t work. The Biggest Loser contestants all gain the weight back. Subjects who eat 10,000 calories/day in over-feeding studies lose all the weight as soon as they quit. The body has a weight set point it defends strongly, in both directions!

But if the weight set point is lowered, there’s no way to *prevent* losing weight. Are you starting to understand?

There’s no need to go low carb or keto. Occasional insulin spikes from meals are Okay. But you need long stretches (8-40 hours) without any calories or stress to lower resting insulin levels sufficiently that your cells become insulin sensitive again. This is a long, slow process of healthful recovery and healing.

Most days, just have two big meals (with enough calories to meet your needs!) within 6 hours of each other. Fast for the other 18. Once a week skip one or both meals. That’s it.

My current weight is 226 lbs, which isn’t great, but that’s 41 lbs less than I was back in March. So I’m pretty happy about that. #WeightLoss #Fitness

My method? I never count calories. That’s a losing game. The body’s weight set point (which is regulated by insulin and cortisol levels) must be lowered.

Never snack. Space your meals. Eat lots of veggies. Avoid added sugar. Don’t drink calories. Light exercise daily. Get plenty of sleep. Reduce stress.
