Now, it's in my nature always to consider whether there's a possible ace in the hole, a secret advantage which Musk and the #tech execs think is decisive and thus a boost to their confidence.

With #SpaceX apparently bent inexorably upon the goal of filling Earth orbit with cheap shoddy "constellation" satellites, and copycat space-exploitation firms following suit with even worse proposals...it seems like the #technology sector isn't really banking on the #Moon or #Mars as exciting new frontiers, despite lots of talk and promises. The promises seem to be very thin lately.

But I must continue to ask myself if there's an ace in the hole, and for that reason I have not dismissed the (admittedly remote) possibility that the tech execs imagine they might soon be sidestepping the orbital pollution problem with #portal technology.
