this was certainly the most rewarding week i had since the beginning of that journey! sorry, it's going to be a long one
# new outfits
my company's christmas party was planned on friday and i needed new winter clothes, as nothing fits anymore. so i went to the mustang jeans shop where i've been getting the same boot cut stretch pair size 40 for the past 8 years. this time i couldn't say what size i was! so i tried on a few, and ended up with a size 32 slim. i was GLOWING.
then off to the nice business suit shop for a new dress shirt, and same thing, the SLIM ones fit amazingly, i can't remember a single day in my life where shopping for an outfit was a nice experience.
came the day of the party, i have been working remotely for 6 years, so most people see me twice a year at most. the last time was on july 22nd 2025, pretty much one week after i started my diet. it ended up being my conversation topic for the whole evening, explaining how i did it, what drove me to it (yeah, came out as a furry to a few people).
# workouts
black friday also mean frivolous shopping, so i bought a dip station to do pull ups, get those back and arm muscles in shape! it arrived on friday, still fighting hard to get the first few reps, but it's where i start and i'm gonna work for it.
i finished november with 128km (80mi) total in running workouts, an average pace on my 5k of 5:30. a vo2max up from 33.2 to 41.3. i hope i can continue on that trajectory in december.
# next week
bloodwork at my GP's to check if i've been doing everything right, new challenge to go for daily runs, eventually with bad cold weather.
Effective relief includes stretching, strengthening exercises, self-massage, and heat or cold therapy.
