Isn't it obvious that amid all the fighting over how bad #xitter is vs the culture of #bluesky, that we all want a place with everyone available to communicate with, but where no one is forced to interact with anyone or see posts they don't want to?
and then isn't it obvious that would require no owners with the power via algos and ads to decide what we do or can't see to satisfy investors, and moderation and tools focused on preventing unwanted mentions from anyone for any reason?

Many of the people still using #xitter are just clinging to what it was. That's obvious with the posts I see via the bird.makeup service. An open news service with commentary. No ads or algos. What's so sad is that is exactly what fedi would be if they all moved here.
