I concur as quoted: being there adds oxygen to and legitimizes the platform. The government has plenty of alternative communication channels

Death wishes, insults, and intimidation. That is what politicians get on X.

And yet most of them are still active on X. Why? As I say in the article:

1️⃣ X simply does not provide a forum for a democratic dialogue. 
2️⃣ By posting, politicians and parties legitimise the platform.
3️⃣ The more parties and politicians leave, the less relevant the platform is.

It would help if journalists stop using it as a source too.
