Centralism means that everybody across the country must be some sort of Conservative.

Centralists constantly hold this fear over our heads that if you aren't Conservative enough then you will lose and be irrelevant.

Fuck Conservatism, and fuck the Centralism that props it up!

This is why Avi Lewis won a decisive victory in the NDP leadership race, because people are fucking sick and tired of being sidelined when we demand better, when we demand social change, when we demand reform! We are sick and tired of being told that we can't end bloodshed, that the suffering and deaths of the marginalized is a necessity to keep these gears moving for the profits of the rich. We are fed up with it, and we won't take it any more!

Fuck you naysayers who are saying that voting a socialist into a socialist fucking party is going to kill it! Seriously, fuck you for not allowing the PEOPLE TO SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES, and for silencing us for decades, taking away our representation!

Avi Lewis is not a "radical", he's bringing the NDP back to its roots. It's the rest of you who have been radicalized to believe in the capitalist rule and the capitalist myths. From the need for war to the need to subsidize oil profits off our own backs.

We are standing in SOLIDARITY and you won't put us down! It is not a "radical" concept to believe that people have power to better their own lives without the boss approving it.

If I sound riled up, just know that it wasn't the news of this win which riled me up, it was the response to it. The old machine firing up and churning in response to cut us down as soon as the news came out. They are scared, and trying to silence us before we find our voice. That makes me angry... and that makes me want to ORGANIZE!

I heard somebody say this is not a social movement. Well guess what, it will be a social movement whether you like it or not. And not because of Avi, but because of all of us. Avi is because of this movement. This movement is not because of Avi.

I'm expecting Avi Lewis to get the same media treatment that Zohran Mamdani received during his New York mayoral campaign. It might be a bit more polite, but right-leaning think tanks, lobbyists & industry organizations are going to inject their messaging into news stories. In New York the majority of voters didn't fall for the doom and gloom, or ignored it. I hope Canadian voters recognize the messaging as protecting the status quo, and vote for a better Canada.
