I am surprised how many people in #Ottawa don't know about #trashnothing. I have used it over the years to get rid of my unwanted furniture, house plants, clothes, spare apples from our trees, books, dishes..... All these items, for years, have gone (free) to people who wanted them enough to come over to our place to pick them up. #ecology #recycle #community

Jonathan Kamens 86 47It will never stop annoying me when I offer something on #TrashNothing or #Freecycle, and someone says they want it and names a specific day and time when they're going to come pick it up, and then they no-show and ghost me.
If you're enough of a grown-up to be participating in one of these groups, you're enough of one to figure out to show up when you say you're going to or apologize if you can't.
Grow the fuck up, show some respect for other people.

I deleted Olio as soon as the pay money to the Olio app, for their premium 'service' came up. Yuk! What is wrong with startups like this - are they starving? Greedy? It took less than an hour for them to reveal their moneterisation of food plan ...

In the UK and in Greater #London, we have food charities/banks being used by working people. I am going to Church and eating the whole Eucharist and wine ... The dharmic #charities in #Tooting are feeding people (as are the #Churches and #Mosques)
I have to start giving again on #Freecycle and #TrashNothing. I also have two bags of clothes, charity shops like #Oxfam in walking distance ...
