I am ordering some #Electronics bits soon. I am thinking of getting thin enameled wire (the sort used for making coils and transformers etc.) after seeing a few #VintageComputer tinkerers and repairers use it.

It seems a much tidier "bodge wire" than regular plastic coated wire and can be fitted into tighter spaces.

What diameter people are using? I wonder if perhaps I would be better getting a selection of sizes to repair SMT and through-hole?

Anyway - what I am asking is does anyone have (a) diameter recommendation(s) for vintage computer / console repairing and modding?
