I got this mailer yesterday from the city. They're going to be charging different rates for parking downtown because reasons that make no sense whatsoever and just seem like a cash grab inconveniencing everyone that doesn't have disabled plates (which luckily I do. Free parking regardless).

This doesn't make parking easier for anyone. People that have to make deliveries, or are shepherding old folks or small children, are on a time constraint, or other reasons, are not being convenienced in any way by this mess. Plus if you have to park many blocks from your destination because it's cheaper, you're going to be paying more because of your walking time regardless.
