You guys remember #TheTrail (2025)? That was a horror set in the Alps. Good times. Not weird and cannibalistic like this. 😬

Hiked through the forest to the lookout spot after three days of rain and the sun came out right when I arrived. Gorgeous place. Eager to go down to the river on my next visit.
Decided to try one of the forest trails on my bike today and had a ridiculous amount of fun. Felt really good to experience such a different set of technical challenges. With a bit of trail maintenance (clearing of fallen logs and branches) it could be an excellent ride to have in the rotation.
Also: mushrooms and lichen!
Orange: Pycnoporus cinnabarinus
Yellow: Phaeolus schweinitzii
Lichen: Unknown to me
Went for a 30 minute run today.
I've been feeling a little bored with my usual cycling routes lately but don't want to miss out on exercise. Seems like a once- or twice-per-week run could offer an enjoyable difference. I'll see how I feel tomorrow (when le pain will be upon me).
Running through the forest makes me feel like a ninja. I should start reading Naruto again.
