After 2.5 years of writing and a crazy few weeks working out how you publish a book, it's done.

Focus on the Trail - The Beginners Guide to Trail Running Photography

Will be published next week.

The main driver for the book was to help trail runners spend a bit more time looking and taking in the sights and sounds of the trail they love running through.

Hopefully through the guide you can learn a few small things, no matter what phone or camera you are using, that will help you appreciate more of the trail and most importantly, capture better photos of your adventures that you can look back on for a lifetime!

Here are just a handful of the photos that are used in the guide as references and next week i'll do a bigger post about what to expect in the book as well as launching a video on Youtube that will give you an insight to some of the basics of trail running photography.

To Allendale for the Hexhamshire Hobble this morning. It seems unlikely that we'll get the blizzard that I've experienced in previous years, and hopefully the rain will stop, but I have packed my waterproof socks. (Alongside the compulsory fell running kit, of course.)

Used to do this in about 90 minutes, but I think a more leisurely pace this morning.
