Docker, IMHO, is for "toy" deployments - say, an Immich server with personal photos for sharing with family and friends - where the need for reliability or efficiency isn't all that serious. I'll turn to #Docker *last* of all. I also use Docker to host "#elk", a #Mastodon client that works great as a frontend to #GotoSocial, **where I'm the only user, and it's within my LAN**. Docker containers are sort of like "Schlock pails", where Node.js dependencies get lazily shoveled into, not having any decent software packaging of their own otherwise.
