The rain will make the grass in the garden, which is green but not growing much erupt into a carpet of spring vegetation. Flowers will follow.

Maybe the rain will be enough to convince the reluctant aspen trees huddled together in a copse to produce some leaves.

They are always the last of the trees in the garden to heed the call of spring.
