I have found a new mortal enemy #theGym

I acquired an exercise bike (resistance fueled by wind, not electricity/magnets). I did Concept2’s workout of the day of 1000m bursts followed by 2 mins of rest. I had 5 intervals (5.5kms) in me today apparently, averaging 15mph or so in the bursts.

Day one of hopefully many of “nerd gets back to being less sedentary after a few years off the proverbial horse”. Gotta start somewhere. #theGym

Rode some dirt roads today at an unreasonable (but safe!) speed. No pics, was too much in the zone.

Just ran a 12k. Type 2 fun for sure. With a bit of type 3. 
I need to prepare much better for my next one. But I'm glad I didn't chicken out and choose the 6k distance.

First time doing hyrox training this morning, did really good, top 3 out of 13 for every course. Did 1km rowing in 3:03 minutes, beating the second place by nearly a whole minute.

Had a #BMX break mid-work.  
Leaving the bike at the office was a great idea, now I can commute with my touring bike and get some exercise breaks with the BMX. I'm lucky that this office has locked and covered bike parking.

Finally making some progress on my #BMX again.  
Yesterday I rode fakie for a very short distance for the first time and had a ton of fun bunny hopping off of some stairs and ledges and even found a ramp formed by tree roots pushing up the sidewalk.
And got 0 injuries! ...except for a bit of shoulder pain and a flat rear tire  
Protip: some drainage ditches may have a very inviting bowl shape to them, but they also can hide nasty little rocks and thorns that have a chance to fuck up your bike.

Got frustrated with the unit testing tool that I'm trying to fix, went for a short BMX ride instead and climbed a bit on the monkey bars at the outdoor gym.
9/10, fucked up the skin on my palm, but still preferable to staring at this Python code
