I helped fix up #sarpi today so future users installing on rpi5 get fully supported hardware out of the box with #slackware. Did my good deed for the day.

I just realized because of the way I setup my #sarpi install, I can just toss ANY rootfs on a usb stick, plug into the rpi5 and it’ll boot. As long as it’s /dev/sda, I’m golden. I don’t even need a kernel, Exaga’s #slackware packages are going to boot #crux for me! All I need to do is make a fstab. 👍

I meant to post a new iso, but I got lost installing #sarpi #slackware on #rpi5 but I can say it really does perform much better than previous models. I’m impressed and that means a lot since I use Linux on an M1 and that’s my base comparison. Can’t wait to try and build some software on it (once I setup a nvme instead).
