I do things. I am a macOS, Slackware, classic gaming enjoyer. I also tend to gravitate toward ARM things. Friends call me loco, internet calls me r0ni. But really I’m Jay and I’m 100% “loco” ;)

Ok, I finally did the initial part of attempting to move off of mastodon.social. Once things approve, then I'll attempt actual migration, in which I fully expect something to go wrong and I'll lose data/followers or something. This is the way of the world. 🙃
I’ve pushed haruna 1.2.0 and calligra 4.0 for #kde6 #slackware in my repos. There’s a small bug with displaying the icon for calligra on Wayland within the app, I’ll push patched builds later. I’d already pushed updates when I found the issue and a patch was shown but it’s superficial anyway. https://slackware.lngn.net

I’m currently building a dev build of webkitgtk 2.45.91 (for gnome 47) which is almost done, and I was working on preliminary gnome porting to #crux because I wanted to do this 2 years ago, I just got sidetracked (with xfce and lxqt on crux at least). I should really put the pen down and read a book or something… 😂
This one snuck up on me… look for it tonight/tomorrow in my #slackware repos ;)

Pushed a new #kde6 liveslak build and pushed some #nwgshell updates for arm64 I forgot about. Actually wrote some BS on my website, and now it’s almost time to take my youngest to school. A good nights work. https://slackware.lngn.net

I noticed an issue with my last #kde6 liveslak, not really an issue with it per-se, but it seems I never pushed an update to the repo for flatpak. I’m losing my grip on all this stuff! 😅 Anyway, seems I need to push an update to the fine folks using this thing.
Every time I sit down to do something at the PC I forget about what I was trying to do previously… and that is move this file into its shareable place. A new #kde6 #liveslak with 24.08.0 packages and all the rest of the latest stuff on top of a #slackware64-current ISO. There, it’s done now. https://rekt.lngn.net/liveslak

It doesn’t like to logout back to gdm properly and leaves me in a different tty, alt+F7 would get one back of course ;) #COSMIC #slackware
I uploaded some #COSMIC packages for #slackware x86_64 current. Not to compete with anyone (it won’t be a repo) but I built them from fresh git pulls today and they’ll waste away on my ssd. https://slackware.lngn.net/pub/x86_64/slackware64-current/cosmic/ no deps outside of flatpak needed for the store app.

Out of nowhere Armbian replied to me on Reddit where I was recommending distros for a pbp (which they say they are dropping support for) and I’m still 🙃 about their comment. https://www.reddit.com/r/PINE64official/s/Clhnv5pcHP
