“The FDA highlighted that the people sickened in this outbreak are young, with over half being less than 5 years old. Children under 5 are particularly vulnerable to severe complications, including HUS, from the type of E. coli in this outbreak, which is a Shiga toxin-producing E. coli, or STEC.“

If you fed your child any other poison, the law would come for you. How is this permissible?

Yeah, I cook my food for the most part.

If these geniuses spent any time in a milking parlor I am pretty sure they would be all about the pasteurization thing.

Health officials say nine people, including children, have been sickened in an expanding outbreak of E. coli food poisoning tied to raw milk and raw milk cheddar cheese. The outbreak has been linked to Raw Farm, a Fresno, California, producer. Two cases in California were added Thursday to the outbreak first announced on March 15. Illnesses were reported between September and mid-February. Three people were hospitalized and one developed a dangerous type of kidney infection. Over half of the cases are in children younger than 5. The Food and Drug Administration urged a recall but the company refused.
