An alliance of progressive advocacy groups announced on Thursday their intention to organize a humanitarian aid flotilla – named the #NuestraAméricaFlotilla – to #Cuba next month amidst increased economic pressure on the island by the #US.

Major groups participating in the flotilla include #ProgressiveInternational, an international left-wing activist organization, and #CodePink, a female-led grassroots peace and social justice group.

The flotilla’s mission has been endorsed by a variety of leading international figures, such as Brazilian activist Thiago Ávila, member of Colombia’s Chamber of Representatives María Fernanda Carrascal and US Congresswoman #RashidaTlaib.

Prominent left-wing American streamer Hasan Piker has confirmed his participation in the project.

A single warehouse in Jersey City, NJ packaged and transported over a thousand tons of military equipment to #Israel every week in the first eight months of 2025, according to a report jointly released today by the #PalestinianYouthMovement (PYM) and #ProgressiveInternational (PI). A network of businesses based in NJ uses the privately owned warehouse to inspect, organize, and move military equipment, including Merkava tank parts, F-16 parts, ammunition, military gear, and armored and unarmored vehicles.

More than half a million #Palestinians are facing catastrophic famine conditions amid #Israeli genocide, while authorities in Gaza report over 10,000 additional deaths and 45,000 injuries since the collapse of the ceasefire in March — numbers that represent a significant undercount of the true devastation.

In response, a historic coalition is mobilizing in the Mediterranean Sea — to break the blockade that created these unbearable conditions, to deliver critical humanitarian aid to Gaza’s people, and to signal that people from around the globe refuse to be complicit in the genocide.
