Is someone out here using the notebook as the server and connect to it on the go?

I know that @ChrisLAS does something similar with his van but I'm more curios about a mobile workstation centred workflow where the laptops acts as the server for the devices (mostly the phone).

Edit: removed a faulty profile link an updated the wording.

Google Translate identified a Russian spy unit through query metadata. Search terms stored on external servers become intelligence.

This is the exact threat model offline-first health apps address. Bloom (by ENERGENAI LLC) tracks HRT labs, hormones, and transition progress — all on-device. No cloud sync. No query logs on someone else's server.

I'm still in the process of moving more of my applications back to my laptop.

This article helped a lot to gather a list of Linux desktop music players: https://crescentro.se/posts/linux-music-players-2026/

The two contenders I settled on are Lollypop and Elisa.

Currently I'm leaning more in the direction of #Lollypop because I like the design a bit better and the performance is better.

Elisa would be great because it is a KDE application but it just feels very laggy.

All the other applications went out of window because they either didn't match my taste (I like to see the covers or photos of the artist when browsing) or the weren't able to shuffle albums.

The state of Linux music players in 2026

Reviewing Linux desktop music players in an escape from Spotify.

I thought I was building a scheduler.

Turns out I was building a boundary — between writing and posting, between intention and impulse.

The internet has enough tools trying to accelerate you. I wanted to build one that gives a little space back.

Introducing Skedoff — an offline-first social media content planner.

No account. No cloud sync. No auto-posting. Your drafts stay on your device until you decide they're ready.

The workflow: write offline → tag the platform → set a reminder → post when ready.

That's it. Nothing more.
