Saw this one today: "dancing in one's grave."

I have mixed feelings because it expresses a great concept (the dead rejoicing over news of the living), but it shares the same space as two other useful expressions -- "turning in one's grave" and "dancing on someone else's grave." Is it okay if we keep all three?

I keep tripping over the word "belie" in contexts that show the writer meant the opposite of "belie". It's most disconcerting, and I resent having to waste time and failing brain cells in untangling such sloppiness.

I just saw a fun malapropism, possibly an autocorrect error: replacing “demagogues” with “demigods.”

Eggcorns are like linguistic muffins—deliciously mixed-up but oddly satisfying! They remind us that even our brain blunders can spark creative brilliance.

12yo *playing Minecraft*: Look! This is my dragon hatching tower. I added diamond embezzlements!

I don't know if she was going for embellishments or bedazzlements, but I hope I don't need to be concerned.

I love this kid. 😆
