I'll say it again: #maglev #transport, and indeed all high speed #transportation, rail or otherwise, is the wrong solution for the wrong question.

The better idea is inverting the assumptions, and asking why, instead of moving people, we aren't making better #design #architecture #urbanism #planning choices, so that people/goods don't need to be moved, at all, let alone at high speeds or over the long distances at which those speeds are even viable, in the first place?

Einst steckte auch Südkorea viel Geld in die Magnetbahnforschung und baute als Incheon Airbort Maglev eine Nahverkehrsmagnetbahn, die alles bot, was deutsche Projekte bisher nicht liefern konnten. Zwar fährt die Ecobee wieder, doch nur noch sehr selten und mit einem Ruhetag.
