#SimulatedUniverses #AstroPhysicsFactlet
Professor in #Astrophysics at the University of Bologna and former #ERC grantee.
I study the cosmic web, extragalactic magnetism and clusters of galaxies with colorful simulations.
Less #AI and more tiramisu in our lives!

Did you know that in the #University system in #India there apparently are (at least) 10 different grading schemes for the final master and bachelor evaluation? And this is only for #STEM

not the easiest job in the universe to homogenise these marks in any other system

Here is also the comparison with a model in which there is only a primordial week seed field, and a sub-grid recipe to incorporate the effect of turbulent dynamo amplification.

The latter is very crude recipe, yet it shows how in the long run the effect of star formation feedback is very similar to the dynamo in halos, while only AGN feedback (centre) can push a substantial amount of B-fields outside of halos.

I must confess I preferred #Spielberg much more when he was not ful AviLoeb on stories.

Much disappointed by his #DisclosureDay

One hundred fifty years ago today, the great Centennial Exhibition was underway in Philadelphia, and Alexander Graham Bell decided to go. “Dear Mama," he wrote.

"Here I am in New York on my way to Philadelphia…. It will be of extreme importance to me to meet Sir William Thomson [Lord Kelvin] and other prominent electricians—so as to interest them in my inventions.”

@franco_vazza I've added it to the article now. See footnote 34.
What I mean is that: ideally, WP footnotes should always be "independent" descriptions of a thing, not the person saying it about themself (etc.)
So - if there is any independently published report *about* your work, that describes this umarel connection, that would be ideal.

meanwhile - art is imitating life and the WP article now references back to your paper ;-)

⛪ An abandoned church, with an unusual design! A concrete pyramid, set with thousands of blocks of green and purple glass. Somewhere in France.

Two #SimulatedUniverses to separately test the effect of feedback (=winds) from star formation or active galactic nuclei (=jets) in expelling magnetic fields from galaxies into the cosmic web.
The left simulation only has the first, the right simulation only has the second.

The simulation goes from z=4 to z=0.
Clearly, at least in all my models, while stellar feedback start magnetising first, AGN feedback is by far the dominant one at all scales.

If I ever needed a confirmation, today I had about 100 examples of how much #ReferenceLetters are useless 99% of the time.
