Ich habe mich inzwischen an Liquid Glas gewöhnt. Kann meinetwegen bleiben.
@ischack ich mag #LiquidGlas echt gern. Da ich aber fast alles in der Konsole oder sonst Drittanbieter-Apps mache, ist mir die Anpassung in den Apple-Apps egal. Oben oder unten, für mich ist überall gleich wichtiger, somit hört sich unten besser an.
Was für mich ungewohnt ist, das mein altes iPhone 12 doch ordentlich mit dem neues OS zu tun hat und am Akku saugt, sodass am Abend der Akku leer ist - meine Nutzung ist jedoch vermutlich mit keinem vergleichbar

Prof Heino FalckeUpgraded my #MacOn to #Tahoe with the much discussed #LiquidGlas design. I probably don’t really understand the design language well, but to me the overall layout comes out as a bit „retro“ 😬. Am I just too old, that I have seen too much 🤔.
So far, I am underwhelmed, but I am also not complaining.

Okay who at #apple though that making the #liquidglas #icondesign something that the developer has to render into their icon and thus forcing it on OS versions prior to #ios26 was a good idea??
I’m on 18.5 and #ParcelApp just updated their #TestFlight to include the new design..

As a #developer you have to know your users! Sure, a Mastodon Client is used by a different group of people. Those people might like to see the latest features included just because. Maybe it’s helpful, maybe it just looks cool.
In a business world it sure should look good but that doesn’t mean „shiny“ or „sparkling“. It means good readability, easy to use with big touch targets and designed to get things done without „scanning“ the UI to much (2/2)

Ralf StockmannSagen wir, wie es ist: mit der aktuellen Dev beta 3 ist #LiquidGlas auf #macos26 praktisch beerdigt. Es weicht einem bekannten, mal gerade so eben transparentem Milchglas. Kann #apple ja machen, aber ich frage mich: was machen sie mit der WWDC Keynote? Depublizieren? Nichts davon ist mehr zu sehen.
Hm. Die #liquidglas Effekte hat #apple in der Beta 3 von #MacOS26 dermaßen runtergefahren, dass zwar die Lesbarkeit endlich wieder gut ist - dafür sieht es aber im Vergleich auch wieder sehr bieder und wenig mutig aus…
