Found these Golden Plover eggs (Kapustarinta in Finnish) while hiking through the Kaldoaivi Wilderness Area on my two-month solo trek. It was already late in the summer, so they’re likely a second clutch—or possibly a failed first incubation. I took this photo without taking off my backpack, not wanting to linger near the nest in case the mother was close by.
