Late night noisy Oystercatchers on a rock pile.
I had always associated this species as a coastal wading bird (especially in Winter, as I used to be part of the Dee Estuary Wader Watchers to stop their disturbance at high tide by dogs off their leash, a vital period that they need to not be on the wing).
This is a rock pile on the edge of a farmers field in Angus near the Cairngorms.

Ringed Plover on the nest, this is next to the main track, there are many more isolated small bays in the area which I will not be visiting.
