A Little Egret was wading through a pond at RSPB Titchwell. It got a little close to some Black Headed Gulls so they…raised their objection!

We braved the cold gloomy weather last weekend and headed up to RSPB Titchwell Marsh. After a day of several firsts for us we headed toward the car, it was getting even darker but we were treated to seeing a Barn Owl come out and hunt.

We could have moved closer but we were so captivated we stayed watching from quite a distance.

Highlights of day 4 in #Norfolk were male and female Hen Harrier, Tawny Owl, Velvet Scoter, Water Rail, 30 Egyptian Goose, Avocet.

I only ever see Shore Lark when I go to #Norfolk and this year it took some doing. A walk of nearly two miles up the beach at #Holkham (and back again). Worth every step.

At #Titchwell these Golden Plover looked beautiful in the light.
