The contradictions created by the mythstack force the system to #generate logical #fallacies to keep its own stories “true.”

If 'begs' can be replaced without changing the meaning by 'raises' or 'implies' or 'leads to', then that isn't using it as originally intended from the 16th century onwards. But in such case the question raised/implied/led to usually does follow, because what went before leads to the question that is then raised, which gets to be stated so that the reader knows what it is.
That usage, whilst it has been around for years and both Cambridge and Merriam-Webster nowadays list it as the first sense, is still widely regarded as incorrect.
The petitio principii sense, M-W's+Cambridge's second sense, indeed doesn't involve a re-statement of the question. A statement that an argument begs the question is a statement that it is circular, proving something to be true by simply asserting a re-statement of that something as true; and is not followed by an actual reported or direct question.
They say there's no point in arguing with people on the Internet, and I disagree; I'm not *just* #arguing with the random person whose post I've responded to, but putting thoughts out there for the people they may #influence with that post who don't think of the implications.
That said, I have *never* had a positive reaction to pointing out that someone's post is provably false, #propaganda or some version of myopic bias. 😞 Have you?
I find the paper "Arguments from Ignorance, Coverage, and Bubbles" by Patrick Bondy in the latest issue of Informal Logic very useful.
In practice "ignorance" is much more important than "epistemological virtue".

You know that I always try to be balanced. For example, if the government implements a good policy then I praise it and if it is bad then I criticise it. I won't follow people's words that easily, especially if they are not my friends, you know.

I don't care of course, whatever. My mother is like that too, although in her case it happens a lot at her workplace. Many leaders are wrong, they must be told that they are wrong, they must be criticised. One of the reasons my mother was often discriminated against, sad.

Honestly, I'm often disliked because people say I like to argue with people who other people consider influential or powerful. When I was at school, I used to argue with my teachers a lot, of course, because most of them were not so smart enough to be my teachers.
