Why do we need to have elevated metro light rail ๐Ÿšˆ than underground light railway. The answer is simply. Flood interrupted during severe weather. #DRRM #UrbanPlanning #CityPlanning

I have developed solutions for both the public and private sectors, on #drrm #geospatial #ecommerce #erp #cloud #sustainability #climate

I also spend time contributing to #opensource, and recently created a library which I maintain for the @astro ecosystem: https://astro-reactive.dev

Another recent source of curiosity are #selfhosting and the #Fediverse (federated systems in general), and building a client app for #Mastodon with the awesome team behind @elk

We invite you to 'Governing Covid as a Complex Disaster in SEA' on Dec 7 Wednesday. I'll discuss my ethnographic PhD project on small island fisherfolk experiences of post disaster housing reconstruction & flood adaptation.

Pleased to share the floor with Adam Levine (Brown University Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies) & Enzo Bollettino (Harvard Resilient Cities) who both kindly supported my research in its early stages.

I'm a #volcanologist from the Philippines working mostly with #Taal and #Mayon volcanoes. I work mostly on #electromagnetics applications and methods, but also used to work with #seismic methods (#tomography). Nowadays though #DRRM (disaster risk reduction and management) occupies most of my time. I also do seismic hazards from time to time but volcanic eruptions are more exciting and spectacular.
