Work on the upcoming #Mapbender major version 5 is in full swing.
You can checkout branch develop and help testing or fixing bugs already.

Auch im letzten Jahr ist im Mapbender-Projekt wieder viel passiert. Es soll von den Neuigkeiten im Projekt berichtet werden und neue Features sollen vorgestellt. Der Schwerpunkt lag dabei auf der Überarbeitung des Designs und der Unterstützung weiterer Datenquellen. Aber auch viele kleine Neuerungen sind hinzugekommen, die vorgestellt werden sollen. Die Neuerungen werden anhand von einigen Mapbender-Projekten vorgestellt.

Behind many open geospatial applications lies one of the ecosystem’s foundational components: PROJ.
It is a generic coordinate transformation library that converts geospatial coordinates from one coordinate reference system (CRS) to another, enabling interoperability across tools and platforms.
A great example of how foundational libraries underpin the entire #FOSS4G ecosystem.
