While waiting at the hospital for Mom to get 2 IV treatments, over 6 hours (not including 1 hr of wait time to get IVs started), I did some peace #activism. I chatted with random staff & people who I saw around the cafeteria, gardens, outside on benches & by the bus stop. Gave them #BoycottIsraeliApartheid stickers & some of these #AntiWar #peace #stickers. Encouraged them to pass on the anti-war peace words, join the global boycott & ask others to join in too.

Aisha Azzam and her husband started their family grain mill in Baqa’a refugee camp, Jordan, 35 years ago. She treasures her role in safeguarding culture by milling the wheat and herbs essential to Palestinian cuisine and passing on her knowledge to the next generation. Through food, Aisha traces the story of Palestinian displacement and rebuilding family and community in a refugee camp. Harvesting, milling, cooking, and feasts ground the film’s arc of displacement, longing, and resistance. In Aisha’s words, “Food is what keeps us together as Palestinians.”

I have to have a serious talk with one of my Metis friends on how she needs to do a lot more decolonization work. It's due to her reaction to my annual Earth Day call for #Indigenous #LandBack. She's still very colonial indoctrinated. Her response to any landback statements is: "Every earthling needs earth and land 🌎 happy earth day."

If you still have a #colonial #mindset like this - it tells me that you need a ton more #decolonization work. Landback isn't about making sure ONLY Indigenous peoples have lands. It's about recognizing colonial land theft & the ongoing colonial genocide of Indigenous peoples by colonial capitalists. It's about respect & genuine reconciliation for Indigenous peoples. It is literally the least we can do as settlers on stolen Indigenous lands.

I'd like this cycle to stop - white folks, it's on you & your fellow Caucasians folks to cease doing this kinda of crap.

White CIS people(or any gender & nonbinary white folks), self proclaimed ally types insert their noses into POC peoples' business & create unnecessary dramas for others. When POC folks confront them on their behaviours, they deny/deflect & yank out PTSD shields, only to avoid personal accountability for their own words/actions. They don't truly care much at all about the harms they inflict on POC folks, nor care about triggering our PTSD, by being shady, ignorant busy-bodies. They need to do much more decolonization mindset work & also focus on their own lives much more than others' lives.
