The above cowardly guy that I replied to is a prime example of white folks being shits & hiding their BS in DMs. I replied to his shit DM publicly because I openly talked about racism on my thread.
That guy DMed - asking me to do more emotional labour, when I've clearly said I'm exhausted. Instead of taking initiative to seek out #antiracism & #decolonization resources to start reading to start to decolonize his own mind. There's loads of resources for folks to read these days - if you're truly invested in anti-racism/decolonization work - you'd be keen to hunt for resources.
Do not DM POC folks who you have no prior communication with, who don't know you at all, who have stated our exhaustion with years of unpaid anti-racism emotional educational labours - asking us to do your anti-racism homework for you. Don't dig a deeper pit for yourself by not respecting when we refuse your ignorant request DMs by trying to guilt trip POC who refuse to help with your decolonization homework. That kind of #caucasity is fucking gross.
