Deeyah Khan's #documentary is worth watching.

"I sat down face to face with #WhiteNationalists and #neoNazis, men who see people like me a #Muslim woman and daughter of immigrants, as their enemy.

I wanted to understand: what drives their anger? Why do they believe in hate and division?

White Right: Meeting the Enemy takes you inside their world. It is a journey into the heart of #extremism and an exploration of whether dialogue and a recognition of our shared #humanity can break through walls of hate.

This was one of the most dangerous, personal and meaningful projects I have ever worked on."

After you watch her #documentary on white racist nationalists in USA, I also recommend her #DocFilm on #DomesticViolence.
1 in 4 women that you know have likely suffered or witnessed domestic abuse & violence in their lives. We need to be open about talking about it & helping more victims.

I suffered silently from DV on/off for 13 years, when younger, due to feeling ashamed & not having any safe spaces to obtain more help.

Women & kids are the biggest populations of people who suffer #DomesticViolence. Men suffer from it too & there's less support resources available to them & that needs to change too. ALL domestic violence victims deserve all the help/support possible & we need to fill gaps where that's lacking.
For men in #Canada seeking help for DV issues, list of resources currently available:

Intimate partner violence against men and boys: Information and resources - Canada.ca

A resources and information page to support men and boys who are impacted by intimate partner violence.

For some of us - it required repeated hospital ER visits to be able to start getting more help for ourselves. It's easier as a disabled POC woman to obtain help than it was for some white male friends who were abused by their wives/gfs to get help. I wasn't mocked - people took me seriously & offered to help me more. My male friends who suffered DV were laughed at/mocked by family/friends/cops & also blamed for probably instigating abuses by their partners. I was given more respect & taken much more seriously about my DV experiences.

Wow.
Just finished watching this.
Thank you for sharing MsQB 💝
So many thoughts in my head but the main ones are:

*hope* that all these crazy ppl (mostly men), who have built this hatred on suffering and hurt, aren't totally lost;

*disgust* that the REAL power driving this is the wealth and dominance of the suited, ice-cold, entitled psychos who operate from their gilded mansions.
