<p>The Journal of African and African Diasporic Studies (JAADS) is the official journal of the Harriet Tubman Institute (HTI) for Research on Africa and its Diasporas within York University. It is an international, peer-reviewed, and bilingual journal that publishes research that are grounded in the rich Black Intellectual Traditions and evolving field of African Diaspora Studies. In accordance with the mandate of the HTI, the journal seeks to facilitate collaborations and engagement within and beyond the academy, inviting contributions from both scholars and practitioners working on issues pertinent to Black communities.</p><p>La Revue des Études sur l’Afrique et la Diaspora Africaine est officiellement affiliée à l’Institut Harriet Tubman (HTI) pour la recherche sur l'Afrique et ses diasporas, au sein de l’Université de York. C’est une revue internationale, bilingue et à comité de lecture, qui publie des travaux ancrés dans les riches traditions intellectuelles noires et le domaine en constante évolution des études sur la Diaspora Africaine. Conformément au mandat de l’Institut, la revue vise à faciliter les collaborations et l'engagement au sein et en dehors du monde académique, en invitant des contributions tant des universitaires que des praticiens travaillant sur des problématiques connexes aux expériences des communautés noires.</p>
