These are just two of the hundreds of items arbitrarily blocked by Israel, including most medical supplies and almost anything that could be useful in rebuilding, or even simply moving rubble to search for the many thousands of bodies known to be buried by Israeli explosions over the last two years.
Some of the most telling banned items have been:
• baby formula
• seeds (including any fresh fruit or vegetables)
There is no possible justification for these decisions other than the goal that many Israeli leaders have been repeatedly open in stating: making #Palestinian life in #Gaza impossible.

Yet, while claiming to celebrate the scholar who stood against the Nazi occupation and #genocide, Leiden University remains complicit in perpetuating ‘israel’s’ occupation and genocide - including #scholasticide - in Palestine.
Leiden University’s silence is a grave betrayal of Cleveringa’s lessons. By staying complicit genocide, occupation, and the violent denial of a people’s right to self determination, LU is exploiting and defiling Cleveringa’s legacy.
