I was certain it was possible to access alpha missense annotations on uniprot not so long ago, for example here :

Does anyone know the reason they are not available anymore ? Any alternative ?

A question for my #bionformatics #HPC friends: Has anyone implemented checkpoint-and-restore for PAML codes? We have a researcher whose requests for very long jobs have reached very long runtime levels (weeks and even months of single-process continuous running) and it’s beginning to interfere with normal system maintenance, besides being difficult to support operationally. We’ve tried encouraging use of parallelized newer codes, but no luck: they insist on using older single-threaded ones.
