In #HadakaShizenyoku when the #body stands uncovered beneath sunlight, wind, & rain, we realise that there is no boundary between what is “me” & what is “world.” The skin is not a barrier; it is a meeting point. This is #anātman experienced through the #body, the #truth that no fixed self can be found within or outside. There is no permanent, unchanging entity existing within living beings or phenomena, everything is #impermanent & interdependent.

I’m trying to take from a philosophical or rhetorical perspective. I refer to it as #anatman method. I am not nullifying myself, but try to discuss matters from an objective perspective. It’s difficult, I know, to approach people when you don’t know anything about them. But social media are full of ad hominem rhetoric and it’s an attempt to remain ad argumentum.

#Thought for the day. The difference between #Hindu and #Buddhist #metaphysics is entirely superficial. Where #Hinduism claims the true self ( #Atman) is God / #Brahman, Buddhism claims there is no self ( #anatman) and says nothing of #God. Both tell of a #nondual #absolute #truth using inherently flawed linguistic binaries. The former speaks of Ultimate Presence, the latter of Ultimate Emptiness...
