First day on ADHD medication is a real wake up call. I am astounded by how much better my brain is today. Symptoms I didn’t know I had are gone. This is really incredible!

@binarydiv I have about 15y worth of files mostly arranged into a folder hierarchy but recently I'm trying to name files and folders with tags because over time theres been more and more exceptions where things fit into more than one box I often find myself looking in 2 or 3 locations to find a file.

Some tags I find useful:

The ideology philosophy or system involved

What animal species is involved

The area of study involved

The name and time of the event involved

The Company/country(s)/organisation/people involved

The sector of the economy involved

The movie/tv/game/media involved

So for instance a screenshotted hot take or meme about ADHD might go under #Humans;#Psychology;#Ableism;#ADHD

and a report on the impact of boycotts for hogwarts legacy might be named #Gaming;#HarryPotter;#Boycott;#Trans;#JKRowling;#HogwartsLegacy

Looking at my personal accounting seeming easier and less burdening than ever, I do wonder how much of this is due to Elvanse and my ADHD being treated. It is said we do a lot of impulse shopping when unmedicated.

But I don't think I ever fail on that front. It's more the debt accumulated from the time I was trying the self-employed thing (and reducing my net income ~500€ per month) to try to be eligible for a mortgage. My expenses during that time didn't shrink, so the overspill all went to my Natwest credit card, which I've been shrinking for months.

Am I more in love of...simplicity? Suddenly I don't like..

Good morning.

Omg. My friend has Google-Fu that is strong. (Except we don't actually use Google anymore.)

He found me an online aircraft tracker AND an air traffic control (ATC) radio! Basically one shows a majority of the aircraft that are going over a given airspace, the other just has ATC and pilots speaking to eachother.

It is the PERFECT white noise for getting things done AND concentrating. This regional Airport isnt too busy.

Hey can anyone answer me a question about #ADHD diagnosis in Australia?

If my kiddo gets diagnosed by a psychologist and then we take that diagnosis to a paediatrician or a psychiatrist to try medication, will they want to re-do any of the assessment process - like, will I be making future life harder if we start with a psychologist instead of going straight to a paed or psychiatrist?
(The psychologist does Telehealth assessment which is a big factor for us)

I like this comic, but damn that font confuses my brain for an unknown reason.
I’ve seen this before and I always find it odd and amusing in a strange way. That font, if I remember correctly, is designed for people with dyslexia. Personally I don’t have an issue with it (the font or dyslexia) but I do actually like it and find it pleasing to read. Always wondered what it was that set people off slightly differently.
