Lashunta Inspirational Memory - 3 years ago

I've written of the ~Moqeva~, Castrovel's Serpentfolk, who were the Lashunta's first enemy, and whom they wiped out ruthlessly. Lady Vaeol met one after she slew a megapython in a challenge set by the Kaymos. It was old and crippled but seemingly immortal, and shared its millennial history via mindshare. Later, her flag-pod found Queen Taiase trapped in a suspended animation device, whom a Moqeva remnant had captured and tortured twelve thousand years ago, before the Elves wiped them out in the Dale of Amaea.
Perhaps because of the Moqeva's snakelike attributes, the Lashunta dislike of snakes is almost obsessive. Per legend, the Moqeva wielded eldritch sorcery against the Lashunta. Thus the snake has become a symbol not only of danger and treachery, but also of evil and the forbidden. The Qoaronae, the triplet war-goddesses of Valmaeana, are told to have gone into the Outer Dark beyond Father-Night's protective shroud, and came back changed, with the snakelike hair and scales, by what they learned. ~Karae lavyae o'arae-tei.~ 'Death is the darkness beyond night.'
On Golarion, lore tells that the ancient Serpentfolk ruled an empire that stretched beyond that lone world, to other planets, and even touched the Dark Tapestry. Who can say what link these Serpentfolk had to Castrovel's Moqeva? Were they kin? Confederates? Rivals? As the Azlanti were waging their war on Golarion, did the Serpentfolk call for aid? Conversely, did the Moqeva call, and were refused? What transpired that both these groups lost their wars alone?
