Wechseln deine Protagonisten innerhalb einer Geschichte manchmal auch anlasslos ihre Kleidung? Gibt es so etwas wie Mode?

Nichts passiert ohne Grund & wenn es nur der Wunsch ist, die Kleidung zu wechseln so ist das doch Anlass genug, oder?

Die Unionsuniformen & die der Allianz sind als Survival Suits ausgelegt, hoch technologische Meisterwerke die auf der Dicke eines Wollpullover oder einer Cordhose Funktionen wie Druckregulierung, Flüssigkeitsabsorption, Strahlenschutz, Medizinverteilung, Wundverschlussunterstützung etc regulieren.

In der Theorie können diese Uniformen mehrere Tage bis Wochen am Stück getragen werden allerdings lässt ihre Funktion nach, wenn sich das feine Material mit Salz oder Hautschuppen festsetzt, einmal wenden & ausklopfen wirkt das schon Wunder, allerdings sollte die Uniform dennoch regelmäßig gereinigt & auf Makel begutachten werden um 100% Funktionalität zu gewährleisten.

Modisch unterscheiden sich die Modelle nur darin, dass die Unionsuniform weiß mit farblichen Anteilen ist (Rank & Abteilung) während die Uniform der Allianz schwarz ist & auf Holobefehl, die farbigen Akzente schwarz färbt.

Mode gibt es aber diese unterscheidet sich sehr stark von Planet zu Planet/Sektor zu Sektor etc. & außer Mondira haben, an Bord, die meisten Leute kein richtiges Intresse daran außer wenn eine Mission es erfordert.

Am auffälligsten ist noch die Mode der Somwhar, was allerdings auch in ihrer Mannigfaltigkeit begründet ist. Eine Zeitlang war es Mode prächtige Haarmähnen & einen langen Schweif zu tragen. Da aber nur ein Bruchteil der Somwhar von Natur aus einen Schweif haben oder eine Mähne, waren Protesen & Perücken der Hit, sogar bei einigen nicht Somwhar. Was für meisten von ihnen als einen unglaublich guten Witz empfanden. Man Stelle sich das vor Terran'ni oder Talithi mit einem Schweif oder einer Mähne. Was kommt als nächstes? :D

Do any of your characters have an unusual or uncommon pet? What is it? How did they acquire it?

Pet or the German name Haustier
(Haus = House - Tier ist the same word as in English but in German it means animal)
are seen as insults by Terrans in the 2300.

Animal companions are not owned, they choose to stay with someone, a lot of animal languages have also been decoded & can be used thanks to universal translation (it takes a bit longer since animals have no neural implants).

In the Background a Somwhar Musician from the Planet Khalit lives on Terra together with a red cat he calls Bob. Somwhar are best described as humanoid felines & Khalit has a exorbitant variety of different people of them. Most of them hate Terran cats. Not Somwhar Ovate Reinbo, he finds Bob very cool and amusing. Even if he is shunned for it by his people, Bob just showed up one day & improved his life.

Frühlingsanfang: Was verbinden deine Figuren mit dem Frühling?

Das ist sehr unterschiedlich.
De facto ist Frühling irgendwie etwas das tatsächlich auf allen bewohnten Welten existiert, auch wenn einige Spezies kein wirkliches Konzept haben (manchen fehlt sogar das Konzept eines Konzepts, das sind allerdings eher seltenere Spezies).

Auf Khalit, schießen die Sporen der riesigen baumartigen Pilze, was den Planeten in verschiedenste Wolken selbiger hüllt & viele haben einen halluzinogenen Effekt selbst für die einheimischen Somewhar.

Auf Terra sind Frühling & Herbst Kürzer als Heute, die Temperaturen steigen auf ∅ über 33° Celsius am Äquator (ehem.Tropische Klimazone) & das Meerwasser steigt im ∅ 2 1/2 Meter. Starke Nebelbildung kommt besonders in Küstennähe dazu. Xeno Menschen (wie Mondira) müssen anfangen UV Filter "Kleidung" zu tragen. Beginn der Warmwasser Pinguin Paarungszeit.

Is there any mythology around the afterlife in your world?

The Children of Khalit, also known as the Somwhar, believe that they join their species ancestors if they lived an honorable live.
Khalit being the mother who brought them to life, their homeworld, the Asza'ni call them the Khali'ni for that reason, while the Somwhar insist that the Name of Khalit must be spoken entirely.
The afterlife is portrait as a never ending party of hunting, arts, as an eternal dance & enjoying live with their "parents." Between Khalit, also called Mother Khalil at times, Khalil is the language the Somwhar speak & it's told that she taught them how to speak, their father or seeder, basically the sun & the guardian, the somber ex partner of Khalit who now watches her child's, wiping away tears of sorrow & joy, from afar as their sworn protector, giver of water & peace, the moon of Khalit.

* one of the first things Ovate learned was about Red/Orange cats being "special" and since he has reddish orange fur himself he just "claimed" this trait for himself. He doesn't care that others find him kinda speciest in the portrayal of his species as a giant Terran house cat... His argument is that by being the seemingly only one doing it it can't be seen as a bad representation but is indeed a bolt move to be different.
On Terra he is a welcomed guest on musical related topics and he even has some Terra living Somwhar that like him for being so weird. Most of them wouldn't be so open on Khalit the homeworld of the Somwhar. It's a bit like people moving to another city to follow their interests without judgement. Well only on a galaxy wide level.

3/x have the ability to speak with closed or a full mouth as long their nostrils aren't blocked, in theory they als can keep prey in their fangs while speaking.

The name originally stood for their concept of their 2 moons & their sun. It's a long tragic love story between them. Basically the sun lost her partner moon to another moon partner & now the two moons dance in their home while the sun happy for their moon partner but als sad to do her loss & now being alone visits every day, keeping her distance, singing to the children of her loved moon so they may never feel alone.

Mond di Ra/Luna die Ra was the first translation that came out of the attempts do to Terran standard being mostly constructed of shorter words and concepts that broadly mean the same.

So her name could be interpreted as the Sun sings to the moon children.
