Arkham looked confused: "What's a hatchet?"

Kira's smiled, that's an old english term, it was one of the more common languages until the 22 hundreds," her eyes flickered as she used Ash's database: "a tool for farming as it seems or a weapon, according to Ash."

J. looked up: "Oh I think Dad had one of this things, he said it was used back in the day to prepare the ground or something like that. But I have no Idea why one should bury them, maybe to fertilize the ground? Humans weren't very smart back than right?"

Mondira looked bewildered, her hand slipped over her eyes & in an annoyed tone she muttered: "For real? Why are you even using Ash if you can't find the meaning of an saying?"
She suddenly realized that she just blasted out her thoughts & critized her commander in front of other crew members, her voice folded “Sorry ma'am, sir, I... didn't mean to be..."

Kira cut her short with a hand gesture: "Exo-Biologist/Anthropologist Ramann, speak out loud & clearly. We are eager to learn."

Mondira swallowed, trying to find her confidence again: "Yes ma'am," she straightened up, ”hatchets where wood farming tools used to cut down trees, bushes & scrubs but also weapons, they are basically smaller versions of axes. To burry the hatchet exists in several Human languages that are still used on Eodin today & means to make peace with each other. Weapons that aren't in sight/reach can't be used. Somwhar have a similar Idiom which translates to 'to hit each other with gentle punches" ma'am."

Kira smiled command style: "Here is our explanation, if only the Eltaryn would use hatches. Mondira?"

Mondira looked like a dear in bright light. "Yes ma'am."

Kira's smiled more genuine: "Just use a less annoyed voice next time, okay?"

Mondira looked relieved & smiled back: "Yes ma'am."

What can you tell us about the conflict in your WIP?

Star Ryde:
Galactic scale war, known galaxy is attacked by a maybe two species bond on several occasions, the Eltaryn.
Giant, blue, bald, Mad Max, Frankenstein gorillas & insectoids, between the size of a coin & a skyscraper, H.R.Giger meets every crawling nightmare Insect- & Arachnophobes can imagine.
At times tuned up Mad Max, Frankenstein style. The only thing they share? They are blue & attack everyone else.

Vs

The Union, 6 species protecting everyone else, working together with 64 other species they try to lift up +
countless trading partners.

Vs (kinda)

The Rim worlds, hundreds of worlds that are stuck in different evolutional stages, mercenary armies, pirates, kingdoms, capitalist idiots, the same species from the Union outsiders or their cousins.
Beggars can't be choosers the Union is helpful in defending against the blue monsters.

Vs (kinda)

Ayanami & the their fleet.
They are on your side as long your not threatening the Union. Sadly there is no guide on how to not threaten the Union from Ayanamis perspective.

And don't forget all the terrible little factions like Seraph a Terran only terrorist group...

If your antagonist wrote their autobiography, what would the title be, and why?

StarRyde:
Ariæne has definitely written more than one over their lifespan, their entire system of remembering things is based on notes they takes at the end of a day and reading them the next day.
They would need an helper to sort that stuff out.

Do to their fractured memories I think they would choose a title like:
"A fragment in time, me in the now."

Ayanami probably wouldn't even touch touch the idea because it would give insight into who might behind all of this.

Tell us about a time when one of your characters put their foot in their mouth.

Asza'ni are actually, physical capable of doing this, they have a humanoid body but are actually way more flexible than other humanoid species. Which led to a weird encounter as they first met Humans (not Terrans) who still used a form of English as their language.

It ended with every Asza'ni in the room standing with one of their feet in their mouth. Which defused a rather explosive situation that could have started a war. Try to stay serious if you see 10 opposing Aliens chew their soles. It also was kinda impressive that none of them lost their balance while doing so.

Terrans on the other hand are most times incredibly blunt and stand to what they say and carry the outcome. They also tent to bluntly state 'that this comment' was hurtful.

So the character that really struggles with this is Mondira, despite her being more blunt than the average Human from Eodin, her socialisation is more that of an human from our time.

She regrets things like telling Arkham that she is kinda jealous of her having a relationship with Kira, because she sees Kira as her personal Hero.
Kira doesn't want this kind of appreciation while Arkham has a field day with that situation.
For her, having a romantic relationship is something completely new and she enjoys it way to much, that someone else envies her for that, even if it isn't for romantic reasons.

Mondira feels similar in case of Ashlei because Ash and the captain are basically mind linked which is something Arkham pretty much can relate too.

Welche Krankheiten oder Seuchen kommen in deiner Geschichte vor? Und gibt es Heilmittel dagegen?

Bisher habe ich einige ausgearbeitet aber nur weißes Rauschen wurde bisher einmal genannt.

Weißes Rauschen ist eine, wahrscheinlich neurologische Veränderungen der Nerven*, die sich in allen Spezies der Galaxie finden lässt, in allen Fällen ist das einzige sichtbare Symptom eine kurze Unterbrechung des Bewusstseins.
Eine Art Sekundenschlaf in dem der Körper allerdings in seiner Position verhart.

Für außenstehende sind es vielleicht gerade mal 2 Sekunden, meist noch weniger, in denen Betroffene einfach abwesend sind.

Für Betroffene ist eine Folter die immer länger anhält.

Während die ersten white outs in ihrer Wahrnehmung auch nur Sekunden dauern, verlängert sich die Zeit, die für die locked in Person vergeht, immer mehr.
Ihnen kommen diese Phasen, im Endstadium, vor wie Tage oder Wochen, in denen sie sich in einem weißen Raum aufhalten, ihre Körper sind für sie in diesem Raum anwesend & sie sehen sich aus der Ego Perspektive.
Außer einem sanften Rauschen & dem generellen oben & unten ist dort absolut nichts & selbst ihre Stimmen erzeugen kein Echo. Es ist als hätte man die Person auf ein weißes Blatt Papier übertragen & dieses dann in einen 3 Dimensionalen weißen Raum verwandelt.

Es gibt keine Heilung bisher.

*Vereinfacht gesprochen da es alle signalleitende Funktionen von Spezies mit einschließt, die kein, unserem Nervensystem vergleichbaren System ihres Körper haben. Es steht aus, in wie sehr nicht als sapient oder sentient (sich selbst bewusste & anerkannt intelligente) Spezies, z.B. Pflanzen betroffen sind, aufgrund der Problematik bei ihnen besagte Symptome festzustellen oder mit ihnen zu sprechen & selbst bei den Eltaryn scheint es eine Form davon zu geben.

When was a time that your MC had to say no but wanted to say yes.

In Star Ryde it happens to Kira in the first chapter.
And if people would have agreed with her it would have been that.

Ash is programed to support Terrans in their daily life however it's complicated to determine when a no is better then ayes and vice versa.

Arkham says no many times in so many nuances that it is hard to figure out what her thoughts about this situations are.

A certain character was planned to say no even more regularly as Arkham to construct a bilingual joke that was also an Easter egg to the character that inspired my version.
But I scrabbed that idea because it just didn't felt natural.

Ich schummel & nehme nur einen.

Die Phönix, das Flaggschiff der Phönixflotte der Union, geformt wie ein gigantischer Raubvogel.
Vögel bzw ähnliche Kreaturen kommen auf verschiedenen Welten vor, die Phönix trägt Einflüsse der 6 Kernwelten, die sich in ihrem design spiegeln & hat einige sehr beeindruckende Eigenschaften mit über 9 Kilometern "Flügelspannweiten" & ihren bis zu 6 "Flügeln" kann sie eine eindeutige Botschaft an alle Planetaren Kräfte eines besuchten Planeten senden.

Sie ist sowohl mobiler Regierungssitz als auch ein beeindruckendes Werkzeug der Verteidigung. Die Botschaft? Wir können uns verteidigen & wir können euch verteidigen.

Sie fungiert als Zentrum der politischen Entscheidungen der Union um keinen Planeten zu bevorzugen.
Sie ist eine Stadt im All & ihre Schilde können einen Planeten bis zur Größe Jupiters umschließen sofern die Hologrammfunktion nicht benutzt wird.
Sie halten dem Beschuss einer Eltaryn Flotte mehrere Tage stand.
Sie besitzt natürlich auch Waffen diese Unterliegen allerdings der Geheimhaltung bis auf die, von der Öffentlichkeit, als Novalanze benannte Energiewaffe die Sternenlicht einfängt & bisher nur 1× gegen die Eltaryn eingesetzt wurde. Mit eindeutigen Ergebnissen.

Es gibt wenige Schiffe die ähnlich kolossal & wahnwitzig sind. Anbord befinden sich Botschaften aller 72 Spezies die der Union angehören mit entsprechenden Umwelten. Wie alle Unionsschiffe kann sie per RYDE Antrieb mit ÜLG* reisen.

Warum sie? Weil ich dramatische Auftritte liebe & die Welt den Atem Anhalten würde wenn sie im Orbit aus dem RYDE 'auftauchen' & sich ihre 6 'Flügel' entfalten würden.

Allerdings ist das einzige, was größenwahnsinniger als dieses Schiff ist, die Idee, dass ich es mitnehmen könnte, ohne dass mir die gesamte Union an den Hacken hängt.

Eine deiner Protas klingelt plötzlich an deiner Tür. Wie begrüßt du sie/ihn/dey?

Erstmal gucken, dass es kein Känguru ist,dass sich Eier, Pfanne, Herd, Küche ausleihen will und mich dann los schickt um bloß nicht beim Discounter Fleisch zu kaufen, während es in meiner Küche wartet.

Kira und Arkham würde ich wahrscheinlich erstmal nicht erkennen. Arkham noch eher wegen den grün blauen Haaren und den zerschnittenen Klamotten.

Und dann je nach Story und Fortschritt der Story entscheiden ob ich sie begrüße oder lieber durch das Fenster raus klettere/die Hintertür nehme.

Ash wäre ziemlich eindeutig und ich wäre wahrscheinlich einfach nur Platt weil ein verdammtes Haus über mir schwebt. Also ein Raumschiff (die Ghoz'Tarc) in der Größe eines mehrstöckigen Wohnhauses und mit 178 Metern Länge ist es eher unwahrscheinlich dass es auf der Straße aufsetzen kann. Wenig Platz. Und wie hat Ash eigentlich die Klingel benutzt?
Wahrscheinlich ein modulierter Traktorstrahl auf den Knopf gerichtet oder eine niedrig bandige Energietransmission direkt auf die Leitung hinter dem Knopf gerichtet.🤔

Also eigentlich kann es nicht so schlimm sein, wenn sie klingeln. Ich mein die Tür ist kein echtes Hindernis wenn sie rein wollen und zur Not haben sie das Gegenstück zu den Ring Transportern in Stargate oder zum beamen aus Star Trek.
