Lashunta Weekend Inspiration, Part ~Zhoa~
Artist: Georges Clairin

If these were lashunta, who is this damaya apparition, and why are all these females collapsed or prostrate before her?

Although lashunta philosophers may acknowledge the metaphorical convenience of ascibing lashunta-like features to the gods or describing their mythological behaviors in lashunta terms, at a fundamental level, they acknowledge the gods are not lashunta. Burning-Mother really is the Sun. Greenmother really is Castrovel. Father-Hunter is more of an animal, instinctual force than a Wild Hunt figure. Thus personal manifestations of the gods to lashunta are suspect. When Burning-Mother revealed herself to Queen Eyeshe on Son's Ofu-acropolis, she appeared as the sun breaking through cloudcover.

How does the difference between theological truth and popular superstition create conflict in lashunta society?

Lashunta Inspirational Pic of the Week
Artist: Ferdinand Leeke

This pic brings to mind one of the homebrew legends I created for the lashunta and Castrovel: Haruss the trickster-hero, the strongest Korasha who ever lived, basically the lashunta version of Hercules. After his wifemate Soluael banished him from their hometree for knocking down their orchard in a drunken fit, he went hunting to catch Haeaheyu, the Earth-choker World-Serpent to impress Soluael to lift his banishment. After a fishing-story whopper to beat all others and a titanic struggle, Haruss dragged back the World-Serpent to his wifemate’s hometree - all of one coil’s worth. Then, right before Soluael’s eyes, Haeatheyu frees itself and flattens the entire jungle as it crawls back into its watery home.

Friday Night Lashunta Inspiration
Artist: George Jules Victor Clairin

I'm thinking a more northerly clime and culture. Possibly Ofu-Laubu, the Shemez, or the Retaea. The moors and deserts with their open skies and stronger sun (at least part of the year), plus the possibility of colder weather (for the other part of the year) may warrant garb like this.

The headdress raises interesting possibilities, especially in avoiding conflict with antennae.

Lashunta Inspirational Memory - 4 years ago
Artist: Sergey Musin (yes. One of my favorites)

As a street scene for a Lashunta city, such as Son, this pic has many elements that could fit. The lilypad pools on the left, indicative of how rainfall and water are such huge forces in shaping this world, even the cloak (while much Lashunta clothing is inteded to be worn out in the rain, even they have times when they want to keep it off), and the hint of verticality: the mountains in the distance, and the chasm off to the right, telling that this place itself is built upon a peak, the ~Ofu~, as the Sonna name their acropolis.

Mid-Week Lashunta Inspiration
Artist: Alphonse Mucha

I see a mural, possibly on the wall of a Hall of Matrons. Perhaps this is a historical high matron or stateswife celebrated by her descendents? If this was a city like Son, situated near the headwaters of the Yaro Valley, far from Qabarat's bustle, what were her accomplishments?
