Beauty evening for a run last night!

I am working my way through advanced yoga teacher training and spent a lot of time on asana yesterday. Felt really good to shake out with a run. My hips and pelvis felt really good while running though. I almost always do yoga after my runs, maybe I need to switch it up and do some before! Seven weeks out from #UTHC80 and I have some elevation in my future! Time to climb!

The climb begins again! Nine weeks out from #UTHC80 and double long run weekends are back! Beautiful day on the trail, a mix of single track, crushed gravel, and paved pathways with a visit to my ravine for some climbing! Absolutely gorgeous out there! Humidex stayed under 29 (C)! Breezy and blue skies, no smoke!

Yoga practice 869/1000
A gentle stretch today. I'm not due to start my training block for #UTHC80 for another week and a bit so I'm enjoying the recovery time from #SulpherSprings #UltraTrail with easy recovery runs and gentle yoga. Feeling good and starting to get that itch that I want to run further. Felt that on today's #EasyRun Focusing on being present with the recovery time! I talk and post a lot about #running but #yoga takes up the bulk of my training time by more than double! Time on the mat is always well spent!

Beautiful but very chilly start to #SulphurSprings #TrailUltra on Saturday! I wore all my layers and gloves! Holy beans, single digits Celsius! Beautiful course! So gorgeous that I almost didn't mind getting completely lost and having to backtrack, tacking on an extra 8.85km! Really lovely day! Faster than the 64.5km last fall, all that zone 2 time is paying off! And despite doing all my hill work in a ravine instead of more technical trail, I felt really strong. I nailed nutrition which is something I usually struggle with. I am really pleased with this race. Watch recorded 58.85km and 1494m elevation gain. Good day on the trails. Good base to build on for #UTHC80 in the fall.
