Yoga cuddles.

Pup joined me for the last practice of my 300 hours advanced yoga teacher training. I have completed the program and applied for certification. Feels good to be done! I got through the first 200 hours yoga teacher training in six months but it took me almost a year and a half to finish the next 300 hours. The past year and a half have been so intense. I have finished a lot of ongoing projects in the last little while and I am looking forward to some downtime. That downtime will involve more yoga!

Advanced yoga teacher training practicum submitted!

Pup helped so much with the first recording, guarding me valiantly from squirrels, that she did not get to participate in the second recording! She was excited to help me celebrate completing my practicum though!

A heart opening practice focused on the heart chakra with wild thing as my peak pose. Felt good to create and good to practice. While I wait for my results, I am continuing on with two modules on yin and restorative yoga.

Yoga practice 1087.

I have passed my advanced yoga teacher training written exam and I am putting together my practicum. I am going to do a heart opening hatha practice geared towards runners. Slowly coming together. A lovely coincidence that my practice today had some of the asana I will do in my practice- gate pose felt especially delicious!

My study buddy is keeping my page open for me! Slowly making my way through Advanced Yoga Teacher Training, 80% of the way through! I'm designing a class on the second chakra, svashisthana, and I am being kept cosy by the pup. I'm enjoying the class designing process and slowly building a library of classes. I'm also finding Eastern Body, Western Mind by Anodea Judith really fascinating and a great resource for translating between different understandings.

My study buddy keeps stealing my seat!
62% of the way through advanced yoga teacher training. Waded through chapter three of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras yesterday and watched the lecture today. Slowly chipping away at it. Got a new suggestion for another translation of the Sutras today and looking forward to digging into that. I appreciate being forced to reflect on my own practices, good work to keep up!

Beauty evening for a run last night!

I am working my way through advanced yoga teacher training and spent a lot of time on asana yesterday. Felt really good to shake out with a run. My hips and pelvis felt really good while running though. I almost always do yoga after my runs, maybe I need to switch it up and do some before! Seven weeks out from #UTHC80 and I have some elevation in my future! Time to climb!
