Beautiful but very chilly start to #SulphurSprings #TrailUltra on Saturday! I wore all my layers and gloves! Holy beans, single digits Celsius! Beautiful course! So gorgeous that I almost didn't mind getting completely lost and having to backtrack, tacking on an extra 8.85km! Really lovely day! Faster than the 64.5km last fall, all that zone 2 time is paying off! And despite doing all my hill work in a ravine instead of more technical trail, I felt really strong. I nailed nutrition which is something I usually struggle with. I am really pleased with this race. Watch recorded 58.85km and 1494m elevation gain. Good day on the trails. Good base to build on for #UTHC80 in the fall.

I will celebrate submitting the beast with an #UltraTrail race! I'm officially tapering now! Happy to have my feet up and kept warm! No taper tantrums here! (Ha ha ha, I had my last big double long run weekend yesterday, ask me in a week if I feel the same way!)
